The Yuval Ron Ensemble
Feedback

Hello Mr. Ron,
I attended your concert at Cal Tech with my friend ,and have to tell you it moved me as much as the first time I saw the performance of "Yuval Ron Group" in September!
During the intermission, in the hall, I could hear all languages Hebrew, Arabic, Persian, Armenian, English...people talking to each other with soft voices and smiles on their faces... The power of your group performance and harmony formed by your music created such a graceful ambiance!
and I am specially grateful for "zaman -el -salaam"! even though heard it before, I couldn't hold back my tears as soon as you started telling the story of how the music was born...and the voices of your two singer are incredible; singing to each other from two opposite sides in two different language that unites and  becomes one...it is just superb!
keep up the great work
and thank you again

"Yuval was wonderful!  We haven't received so many positive written responses to a concert in a very long time.  The school shows were very well done incorporating high quality performances with historical perspectives.  The evening performance was mesmerizing.  Yuval is a gifted communicator and his ensemble was comprised of high caliber musicians and singers."

I wanted to stay after the concert to thank all of you for the concert, but we had to go pick up our kid. I was moved from the beginning of the concert to the end – the music comes from such a deep place, with such a deep history, and has such a deep longing to it... Coupled with everyone being really pro, really polished (including the dervish and the dancer) - I was really sent. Thanks so much. I think your music is a healing for this world.

The beauty and the magic of Saturday's concert will resonate with many for years to come.
The music is rich and powerful and some
times gets in my soul so deeply that I am almost moved to tears. I thank you for that experience.

....  too numerous accounts of being brought to tears during the Peace Song....Middle Eastern music touched some in a way they had not been prepared for. I sometimes think that music you play is in our souls already and you enable us to hear it.

The workshop was very in
teresting and the concert at night was fantastic.

I very much enjoyed your concer
t last Saturday night at Brandeis.

I have a place for the Yuval Ron Ensemble in my heart...for your work, patience, risk-taking, for Yegesh's depth and willingnes to teach/share/give, for Najwa's passion, restraint, thoughtfullness, control, freedom, giving...for Tamra's exploration, dignity, giving...those are the ones I got to know. I am a happier person for that.

Your concert in Middlebury last night was a very important night out for my wife and myself, who had come down from Burlington.. Your show was particularly moving for my wife, and I just wanted to write a word of praise for your work.   Mazel Tov, for having such a talented group
Thanks
for a wonderful performance the other night. I am so glad that it turned to be a great success. People here loved it, just loved it.

Thank you again for a wonderful evening in cold northern Vermont. :-)

I just wanted to say thanks again for the concert last Tuesday.  It was such great fun and such good music!

The Yuval Ron Ensemble appeared within the World Festival of Sacred Music, taking place throughout Los Angeles right now, and under the auspices of USC's Spectrum Arts Series and well as the Office of Religious Life.  I had not heard the group before and wasn't sure what to expect--but they were sensational.  As I told Mr. Ron after the performance, which got a standing ovation, they present an unusual combination of idealistic aspiration and high level artistic professionalism.  Clearly, all the musicians believe in what they are doing--both as music and as the coming together of different modes of understanding.  Their commitment is palpable and transporting, even while the music is riveting and uplifting.

We hope that you had a nice trip to Los Angeles.

First of all, wed like to say we appreciate your service in our festival. You showed us the very best manner of performance and wed like to thank you for that very much.

One of the amazing presents you gave us was the experience that we could learn about  Middle Easts music and culture. We enjoyed every parts of your music, which is unforgettable for us. Moreover, the audience was impressed by your fine arts of playing and your kind manner of performance. Please inform your group members that we appreciate all your works in our festival.

Saturday evening' s concert at the Fowler Museum was an extraordinary experience, powerful and passionate at the same time.

The energy was awesome tonight, especially when people got up to dance. I could not help but notice the smiles on everyone's face as we left. The little girl dancing danced for all of us. You truly unite and lift people above hate, fear, discrimination and distrust.

I very much enjoyed your show at UCLA on Saturday, it was truly beautiful and inspiring, and what a great spirit your aroused in the crowd, a real love feast. Again our thanks for a lovely and entertaining show.

Great concert last night.  Really, really enjoyed it, particularly the terrific singer.  What a sweet person and what an exceptional voice.

Thanks for a wonderful concert. Truly enjoyed the evening at UCLA.

p.s.    The CD,   Under the Olive Tree, is incredible.  That first tune has me totally mesmerized.  Wow.  You sound great, I mean YOU, as well as the whole ensemble.  What a well crafted and well recorded CD.  So calming and meditative and rooted in such deep feeling.

I sat there listening to you last night in amazement.
You are such a wonderful musician.
You play the drum with such spirit and beauty.
Just wanted to tell you that your performance really moved me.
I'm so, so glad we exchanged a smile.
That meant everything.
take care,

a.

magnificent performance.......no, "Experience!!"... of light and joy andharmony and exquisite intertwinings of music and spirituality from not-so-separatefaiths and cultures.  The melding of instruments and voices and dance wovethe entire evening into a body of One People, One Soul. The concert was just wonderful, and the music some of the most lovely I've heard from your group.  You shredding it on the oud, Najwa's insane voice (especially those mawwals), that Armenian duo of Virginie and Yegish (Yegish is not only an incredible clarinet and duduk performer, but also quite the ham on the bird song--very funny) and your amazing find Rahman, all made for a memorable evening.I don't have the words. It was beautiful and magical and inspiring and moving and funny and reallywonderful.Such an extraordinary collection of artists and talent.thanks for that great concert last night in Santa Monica. Keep us on your list.

People were really touched, even moved, by this concert.  Let's face it; this kind of thing doesn't happen every day.  And every day, every time that it does, is special and something to treasure.

Dear Yuval,

Thanks for a wonderful concert. I love your ensemble
and enjoyed the music tremendously. We left before
the end of second half since my friend is pregnant and
was getting exhausted.

We are having a show in San Diego and I won't be able
to come for these events. But please keep updating me
with your music. Say hello to the angel!!!

Love,

Mamak.

Yuval:

The concert was a great success and just now I am working on tomorrow's sermon.  Under the Olive Tree  is softly filling the house.

Thank you very much for the gift of CD, your friendships, openness and sharing.  It was a marvelous half week.

The students truly want to see you return.   We'll work on that for another time.

Please tell Carolyne that Ann Ellis {the lady with the beautiful blue eyes} is looking forward to your visit when she can host a reception for you all!

Please stay in touch and if you are within a few hours drive of Marshall, I know that some of us will make every effort to come and visit.

May God richly bless you all in your endeavors for peace on this earth that Yahweh has graciously created.

Thanks to Maya, Norik, Jamie, Carolyne and of course, you, Yuval.

What a weekend!

Peace and grace,

In Shalom

Dearest Yuval:

We just wanted to congratulate you on a most beautiful and inspiring concert.  Kaspian, Michael, myself and our friends had a fabulous time. One of our friends, who is pregnant, got great blessings for her baby with your music.   I pretty much cried throughout the whole event.  My tears were of joy and comfort.  Thank you again.

One of the friends I brought was Arati Misro.  She came to your March peace concert too.  She is a wonderful friend and a wonderful film producer.  She and I were talking and we wanted to speak with you about making a documentary film-about THE YUVAL RON ENSEMBLE and your music.  It would be so fascinating and a great need in the world; especially now!  She has some people she can take the documentary to and we thought it would be an inspiring and important way to take your music and your spirit and reach even more people in the world.

If you might be interested we would love to talk to you as soon as is possible.  With our continuing work on the film project and with this documentary on your ensemble, the energy that would circulate would be incredible!

Again, thank you for your music.

Blessings, Sarah & Kaspian.....

I am a folk singer/songwriter and I'm deeply interested in what is happening with world music these days. Particularly the way eastern and western styles are blending to make a sound that is new, beautiful and exciting. I am interested in the way music helps to bring different cultures together harmoniously building bridges to other nations and maybe in some small way moving toward world peace through music. This is why I love what you are doing. It gave me a thrill to know that Jewish people and Palestinian people were sharing a stage together last night and some of the music moved me to tears. It was a beautiful concert. Thank you.

Dear Yuval,  I want to thank you so much for the gift of your music.  I attended your concert at West LA College yesterday and  received the most sensual and awe-inspiring experience.  Is it possible to purchase a copy of your performance that was videotaped yesterday?  The images and sounds have filled me with joy and contemplation.  I purchased two cd's for gifts and one for myself.  I also thank you for your message, that world peace would be possible if we could get out of our own arrogance and out of our own way.  Thank you is really not enough but it is what I have.  Please let me know about the video and your next performance.  B'shalom, Judy Shaibi

Dear Yuval & Company

I couldn't wait for Monday to thank you. You all must
live very rich lives because you give so much. The
love flowing through the music was palpable and
everyone was uplifted.

Some of the comments:

We left Ulrich about 10:30. He was walking slowly
towards his room and said he was "still in a trance."
One man said that if there were more Israelis like
Yuval in Israel there was hope for peace in the Middle
East.

Another said that the music went up through every
chakra of each one in the audience and pleaded with
heaven.

One told me that you should travel to every city and
small town in America and bring this music, it could
change the world. (unfortunately he didn't offer tosponsor the tour)
Another woman walking through the front door with her
arms across her chest was saying to herself, "Armenia, Armenia." You are touching people's soul's here, Yuval!
