The Nashuva Band was formed in 2004 by Rabbi and Author Naomi Levy. Made up of 8 musicians with varied musical backgrounds and led by Rabbi Levy, the band plays ancient and contemporary World Jewish Music with hip hop, rap, funk, reggae, african and jazz elements. For the past year the band has been playing and praying with the Nashuva community at the Westwood Hills Congregational Church in West Los Angeles on the first Friday of every month for Shabbat Services. Nashuva welcomes people of all nationalities and religious affiliation. It is for anyone who wants to sing, dance be uplifted and connect with others. The Nashuva Band is available for concerts, events and parties.
